Adam Levine talks about working with Kelly Preston while shooting for the music video of “She will be loved”! Check out what he had to say.

Adam Levine is looking back fondly on his brief time working with the late Kelly Preston. The actress died in July at the age of 57 after a two-year battle with breast cancer.Among her many roles was an appearance in the music video for Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved.”

During a recent interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Levine, 41, reflected on filming with the “Jerry Maguire” star, in which he played a man that lusts for the mother of his young girlfriend. Preston played the mother, who was stuck in an abusive relationship with her husband.

“I fall in love with the mom,” recounted the Maroon 5 frontman, per E! News, comparing the video to the film “The Graduate,” which follows a similar plot. “That was the whole vibe. That is what I was trying to go for.”

Preston wasn’t the only actress to be considered for the role, however, as Levine revealed that Diane Lane was among his “top two” picks for the character.

“When we sat there and I first met her, she was super cool,” he remembered. “I remember I was nervous because not only had I not kissed a person I didn’t know before that was definitely older than me and who I definitely for sure 100 percent even remember specifically doing s–t to back in the day … Now I’m in the f–king room with this person and I can’t believe it.”

Nowadays, the video is among the band’s most memorable.

“It was one of those isolated, beautiful experiences,” the singer said. “The video wound up becoming this classic video that everyone loves. I never got to speak to her about it. Life goes on and obviously, we never crossed paths again. I was so sad to hear that news, man.”

He added: “It’s so crazy that she passed away. It blows me away. I can’t even believe it.”

Ratched: What’s in Mildred’s Past? Spoilers

Published

By

In Netflix’s Ratched, nurse Mildred Ratched (Sarah Paulson) is a mysterious character who is hard to get a good read on. Is she decent? Is she bad? The truth is, she’s a little bit of both, and once you learn her backstory, it makes a little more sense why she does some of the things she does at Lucia State Hospital in California.

Toward the end of the first season, Mildred starts to open up about her past. While at a children’s puppet theater with Gwendolyn Briggs (Cynthia Nixon), Mildred starts to see a different puppet show than what’s actually happening, and this is when we learn of her sad past. Mildred grew up during the Great Depression and was born to a mother who didn’t want her. Her mom, who was an alcoholic, gave Mildred up, and she ended up in foster care. It was while she was in a foster home that she met Edmund Tolleson (Finn Wittrock). The children were beaten by their foster parents and were eventually removed from the house.

A social worker forged the children’s paperwork to make them appear as blood siblings in an effort to keep them together. They were placed in foster home after foster home, but all of the parents beat them or didn’t take care of them. Finally, the social worker placed them in a home that she thought would work, with parents who were excited and well off.

At first Mildred and Edmund thought things were going to be OK at this house. They were showered with gifts in the beginning, but soon they realized their parents were exploiting them and forcing them to perform inappropriate acts in front of an audience in their basement. When they couldn’t take it anymore, Edmund killed their parents, and while he and Mildred tried to escape, he got caught. Mildred ran away but lost track of Edmund.

A few years later she discovered him at a home for troubled boys, but he felt betrayed by her running away and escaped her this time. Fast forward to when Edmund kills the four Catholic priests and ends up at Lucia State Hospital, and that’s when Mildred tracks him down again to reconnect. She had to lie her way into her nurse’s job — she has no nursing license and lied about being a nurse in the Army as well — but she was able to reconnect with Edmund once there. Alas, the end of the season finds the two at odds again, and we’ll have to wait for a season two before we find out what happens.

Michelle Obama doesn’t remember which Chris is Chris Evans

If you find it hard to keep track of all the different white men named Chris in Hollywood, you’re not alone — Michelle Obama has the exact same problem.

During a recent interview on the podcast “Black Frasier”, the former First Lady played a game of “Vacation, Quarantine, Zoom” –– a more family-friendly alternative to “F**k, Marry, Kill”.

The hosts asked her to pick between Chris Hemsworth, Chris Rock and Chris Evans.

“Okay, alright. Now, who’s Chris Evans again?” Obama asked.

She’s got a point. The white Hollywood Chrises include Evans and Hemsworth, along with Pine and Pratt. They’ve all played superheroes and they do all kinda look alike.

After Obama was reminded that Chris Evans played Captain America, she chose to vacation with him, Zoom with Rock and quarantine with Hemsworth.

Just last week Evans made headlines for accidentally tweeting a nude photo to his 5.7 million followers.

“It was an interesting weekend full of lessons learned, a lot of teachable moments,” Evans said about the incident. “It’s embarrassing, but you gotta roll with the punches. I have fantastic fans who came to my support.”

This Video Of Laura Byrne & Matty J’s Pregnancy Announcement Will Make You So Feel So Clucky

Just two days after ex-Bachelor contestant Laura Byrne announced her and Matty J’s pregnancy, Laura added to the cuteness overload by posting a video today, where she revealed her pregnancy to boo Matty J.

In the adorable video posted by Laura, she hands Matty J a card that reads ‘thanks for that thing you did’. But before he even opens it, he says “You’re pregnant.” God, way to ruin the surprise, Matty.

He then opens the card looks at Laura and says “I knew it, I knew it”, confirming the pregnancy. Awww. Even their daughter Marlie is visibly excited in the video.

I’m honestly so impressed with Marlie’s handling of the pregnancy announcement. I can think of 101 pregnancy announcement fails, where the kids throws a tantrum for gaining a new sibling. Kudos to you Marlie, you are honestly better than all of us.

Anyway, is there something in the water? Because it seems like every man and his dog are having a baby these days: Ashley Tisdale, Emma Roberts, Bindi Irwin, Nicki Minaj AND Gigi Hadid. Like what?

Is being stuck in isolation making everyone fuck like rabbits? Ok, don’t answer that. But all the signs point to yes.

Now, if anyone else is feeling Bachelor fatigue due to all the drama. Let me remind you that some happy things can actually come out of The Bachelor. It’s true, love does exist.

This video reminiscing on the three years since Laura and Matt met on The Bachelor is a perfect reminder of how The Bachelor actually can work. “You’re hands down my favourite bachelor, I love you forever and our little family,” Laura writes in the caption on Instagram.

I’m not one to find this type of lovey-dovey stuff adorable, you have my parents divorce to blame for that. But honestly, these guys really look so good together and they are really are a beautiful little family (Ok, I think I just vomitted in my mouth a little).
