Bandish Bandits season 2: Here’s an update from the creators

Published

on

The musical web series Bandish Bandits featuring Shreya Chaudhary and Ritwik Bhowmik in the lead roles quickly became the talk of the town. While the show released last month, it continues to be in the news from time to time and fans have all been waiting for a second season already. As it turns out, the creators of the show, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, are looking forward to a second season, however, they are currently working on the script and they do not plan to make an official announcement just yet. Singh went on to add how this show is special for them and they don’t want to rush into anything.

Anand Tiwari went on to say how the first season has left a scope to explore certain things that haven’t been totally given away and those are the things that will unfold during the new season. However, he also maintained that right now, they are not in the position to talk about a new season and that it is great to see people notice their work.

Meanwhile, Tiwari also spoke about casting for the show and if being an actor himself was of help. He says, “If you look at our cast, we have veterans like Naseer sir and Atul sir, as well as youngsters like Ritwik and Shreya. So, as a director, I had do deal with everyone differently because I have a different equation with each one of them. I also think that everyone brings a new aspect into their direction. When a cinematographer or an editor becomes a film director, his style of directing a film will be different and we get to see a lot of smart editing or interesting camera work. So yes, as an actor it is natural that I understand performance better.

The Boys starrer Antony Starr aka Homelander assures, Season 2 goes deeper with individual characters!

Amazon Prime Video’s hit superhero satire, The Boys is over halfway through its smashing second season. Love it or hate it, with the weekly release, we as fans cannot keep calm as every episode knocks the boot off from its predecessor. As much as we love our foul mouth vigilantes, it’s the narcissistic, mommy obsessed, sociopathic Homelander that has our minds blown weirdly. With Stormfront outrightly challenging his superiority, things have surely gotten all the more diabolical and messed up for our Home-Boy.

Speaking about Homelander traversing with a whole lot of complex emotions this season as opposed to the previous one, actor Anthony Starr said, “I think we got such a positive response from the fans for Season 1 who simply loved the honest take on superheroes and we see that continue in Season 2. Of course, the first season of any show is a feed-funding process, it’s a real process of discovery, trying to find out what the show is and what the tone is. In Season 2, we really played on our strengths, so all those old favorite hits of season 1 are back. But this time around, there is an extension on that and we expand the world of the show while taking all the characters in new territories and going deeper with individual characters. So, I think more of the same and a whole lot of new stuff and fans are going to love it”

5 episodes of The Boys season 2 are out and you can catch the fun behind the scene discussions on Prime Video: Rewind with Aisha Tyler after every episode. Watch the latest episode and stay tuned to new episodes every Friday till October 9 only on Amazon Prime Video
