TV celebrities like Arjun Bijlani, Reyhna Pandit, Rrahul Sudhir, Amrin Chakkiwala, and others added lots of fun to the celebration with their presence. They also showered Nia with loads of surprises. But Nia’s picture wherein she was seen cutting of a p**is-shaped cake grabbed several eyeballs on the internet. She was ridiculed for promoting vulgarity on social media and many of her fans felt ashamed of her.
Amitabh Bachchan’s quirky face shield on KBC 12 sets
Trust Amitabh Bachchan to make everyone fall head over heels in love with his weird antics, and he will never disappoint you. The 77-year-old is back at work after recently recovering from Covid-19. He is now taking more precautions and taking no chances on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 12. Following due protection norms against the virus, Big B posted a picture on Instagram wherein he was seen wearing a stylish face shield which was no less than a wonder. It wouldn’t be wrong to say he looked like the newest member of Daft Punk, a French electronic music duo, who always appear wearing quirky face shields.
Vijay’s selfie at Master audio launch
The audio launch of Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming film Master was devoid of any fans thanks to the Coronavirus scare. Nevertheless, the event came alive thanks to the actor’s charisma and power packed appearance. Dressed in black suit and looking dapper, Vijay broke into a dance with music director Anirudh Ravichander and co-actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj. He thanked fans for showing him support during the shoot of the film in Neyveli, when the income tax department had halted shoot. During the occassion, Vijay clicked a selfie with his fans which soon became a topic of discussion on the internet.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s wax statue
Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 in his Bandra apartment, people have been showing their deep compassion towards the deceased actor. Many people have taken to art to honour Sushant after his death be it drawing sketches or recreating his popular songs. However, a sculptor from West Bengal named Susanta Ray has now immortalised the actor by making a Tussauds-like wax statue. Ray has a museum in Asansol wherein he has also immortalised many popular personalities including Amitabh Bachchan and Virat Kohli among others. The pictures of Sushant’s wax statue soon turned out to be among widely circulated images on the internet.
Jaya Bachchan’s Parliament speech
Veteran actor Jaya Bachchan recently took a stand in the Parliament against the continuous attempt to defame the film industry. Taking an indirect jibe at actor-politician Ravi Kishan and Kangana Ranaut who claimed that drug addiction happens in the film industry, Jaya Bachchan said, “Jis thaali me khate hai, usi me ched karte hai.” While she might have invited a lot of unwanted attention for taking a stand against those who spoke ill about the film industry, the veteran actor also garnered a huge support from the film fraternity. Actors like Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha supported her. Her picture while speaking at the Rajya Sabha rocked the virtual world to the core.
