Damian Lillard And CJ McCollum Had A Blast On Twitter After The Clippers Got Bounced

Published

on

The Portland Trail Blazers battled admirably to get into the NBA playoffs, but ultimately were unable to topple the Los Angeles Lakers and went home after the first round. Their stay in the Bubble did include a run-in with the other Los Angeles squad that did not exactly sit well with them, and as a result, two of Portland’s stars had a whole lot of fun at the Clippers’ expense as L.A. fell in Game 7 to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.

Damian Lillard and a pair of Clippers players — Paul George and Patrick Beverley — had a war of words during and after a game the two teams played. Despite this, Lillard was not the first member of the Blazers to get some jokes off as the Clippers blew a 3-1 series lead to Denver. That, instead, was CJ McCollum, who started the posting with a bang.

Lillard laughed at the Cabo line, then looked back on his “bad shot” beef with George from last postseason. You see, George took a corner three down the stretch of Game 7 that looked like this…

…and unsurprisingly, Lillard got asked about it.

While this was going on, McCollum decided to get send out a whole lot of posts at the Clippers’ expense.

He did take a quick break in the middle of this to show some love to Denver’s dynamic duo of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, both of whom were outstanding during Game 7.

And then, CJ got back on the Clippers slandering train.

He was serious (kind of) for a moment, saying that he legitimately thought this L.A. side had what it took to win a championship.

But again, McCollum got back to cracking jokes and made it clear that he was, indeed, drinking wine before throwing some more praise Denver’s way.

Oh, look, Lillard got back into the posting game, inviting Beverley to join him down in Cancun. And you will never believe this, but McCollum got in on this fun, too.

McCollum kept going, which included some more Beverley jokes.

Eventually, McCollum wished everyone goodbye, and once that happened, Lillard came in with a few more tweets.

Throughout the evening, other players from other teams chimed in on the torrid posting by the Blazers’ duo.

I don’t know about you, but while I am super stoked to watch how the rest of the postseason plays out before four really fun basketball teams, I cannot wait for the first time the Blazers and the Clippers play one another during the 2020-21 season.

2 Chainz And Big Boi Face Off On ‘Family Feud’s Season Premiere This Week

Published

By

Atlanta hip-hop mainstays 2 Chainz and Big Boi are set to face off later this week, but rather than a rap battle or a Verzuz showcase, they’ll instead compete on an episode of Family Feud. 2 Chainz posted a set of photos from the set on his Instagram today, teasing the episode’s air date later this week: Thursday, September 24. The caption reads: “I just continue growing and growing! Kudzu Toni.” He also took the opportunity to plug his upcoming album, So Help Me God, due for release later that night.

While he hasn’t released any tracklist information for the album, he has shared a couple of singles with high-profile guest appearances: “Dead Man Walking” with Future, released at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and “Money Maker” with Lil Wayne, which Chainz later supported with an HBCU-hyping music video complete with marching bands and branded apparel. The album will also arrive just a few weeks after 2 Chainz’s 43rd birthday, for which Kanye West gifted him one of West’s strange, tank-like ATVs (what do you get for the man with a show called Most Expensivest, am I right?).

2 Chainz is also fresh off the release of his group T.R.U.’s debut album on Atlantic Records, while also working on ColleGrove 2, the followup to his successful 2016 joint album with Lil Wayne.

2 Chainz and Big Boi’s Family Feud faceoff airs Thursday at 8pm ET/PT 7pm CT on ABC.

Necrot’s Luca Indrio: Top 5 Death-Metal Albums of All Time

Published

Revolver has teamed with Necrot for an exclusive white vinyl edition of their latest LP, Mortal, limited to 200 copies worldwide. Order yours before they’re gone!

Acclaimed Oakland trio Necrot may draw on heavy-music influences ranging from Motörhead and Venom to Discharge and Refused, but at their heart, they’re a death-metal band, and a really fucking good one, at that. The group’s latest long-form offering, 2020’s neck-snapping Mortal LP, could well establish itself over years to come as a bona fide classic of the genre. That being the case, we tracked down vocalist-bassist Luca Indrio to get his picks for the five greatest death-metal albums of all time. No surprise, he spotlighted a handful of undeniable masterworks — see below.

Video of DEATH – 'HUMAN' Reissue (Full Album Stream)

Death – Human

Both lyrically and musically, this is probably the most complete death-metal album. It touches deeply on the subject of the human condition in so many aspects. The lyrics communicate directly and in a way that anyone can relate to it. Musically, it contains all the elements that make death metal great.

Morbid Angel – Altars of Madness

This is probably the most amazing of Morbid Angel’s albums. The talent of the musicians is expressed at the maximum level of brutality. Incredible riffs — the way Trey mixes high and lower notes to create melodies that are both heavy and cutting is impressive and innovative. The drumming, the vocals, there is nothing in this record that is not exactly how you wish it would be.

Immolation – Dawn of Possession

Unbelievable atmosphere for an album that uses fast drumming most of the time. The time changes, the evil-sounding riffs, the beautiful front cover, the vocals. Everything about this album makes it one of the best death-metal creations ever. If you don’t love it with all your heart, you don’t love death metal.

Cannibal Corpse – The Bleeding

Probably the death-metal album with the greatest amount of catchy riffs ever. There is no way to listen to this album and not fall in love with it. A great gateway for many people to extreme music.

Bolt Thrower – Realm of Chaos

Amazing. Just simple, comforting well-crafted death metal. The pace of the songs, the melodies, the heaviness of it, all about this band is absolutely revolutionary and timeless. Death metal wouldn’t be the same without Bolt Thrower. I named this album, but any of their albums is pure gold.

Un artiste mystère qui va performer à M pour Montréal a enfin été dévoilé!

Published

By
