The cast of McLeod’s Daughters is reuniting for Christmas

If you’ve ever wanted to make your way back to Drover’s Run for one final visit with the McLeod family, this is your best chance, because Bridie Carter, Lisa Chappell, Simmone Jade MacKinnon, Aaron Jeffery and Myles Pollard are coming together to relive all the memories of McLeod’s Daughters for the first time since filming ceased.

You can now say g’day to your favourite members of the McLeod family — or rather, the actors who played them — in what could be the most exciting Christmas reunion of the decade hosted by Zoe Naylor.

“It’s a live event for fans,” Bridie said on the Today Show this morning, sitting with Lisa and Aaron. “I think what has surprised all of us more than anything, is all these years later — I mean I finished filming nearly 13 years ago — is we have this massive following, that we all kind of say is bigger than us. So we wanted to give back to our fans.”

Bridie explained it’s a four-and-a-half-hour show with a lot happening. “We’re going to watch scenes with our audience, they can ask questions, we’re going to tell personal anecdotes from the show — inside goss! Hopefully some never-before-seen footage care of Lisa Chappell,” she said.

Without giving too much away, Lisa said, “I have managed to find relics from my past on VHS, and they are going to be part of the show. And we’re going to have some VIP backstage passes where they get to hang out with us, and we’re going to have a beautiful dinner with some.”

Bridie also said the love the cast felt from fans was unlike anything she had experienced before.

“With us with this show, people hold your hands, they look into your eyes, deeply, and you connect,” she explained. “There’s no other show I’ve done — and I know I speak for everybody — where we have that rapport, that specialness, with people. Where not only did we step into their lounge rooms, but we stepped into their hearts. So for us, it’s an absolute privilege.”

18-Year-Old NY Teen Blazed In Apartment As Neighbours Watch

A New York City teenager was stabbed before his body was set on fire in an apartment in the Bronx

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Winston Ortiz, and many reports say he died Wednesday afternoon; although at least one report, which is not dated, says it is in critical condition.

According to the reports, police sources said Ortiz suffered three stab wounds before a suspect bathed him with an accelerator and set him on fire in an apartment on Woodycrest Avenue in the Bronx. According to sources, Ortiz lived one block from his home.

A video captured the suspect entering the apartment

The video reportedly shows the suspect arriving at the building about 10 minutes before Ortiz.  sources told that the suspect and the victim quarreled before the suspect attacked the teenager.

Many residents witnessed the horrific incident and heard the boy screaming

Residents of the building witnessed a horrifying scene after seeing a fire in an apartment building. Outside the apartment where Ortiz was set on fire, a screaming teenager was seen and heard, according to the witness.

A teen girl and the teenager’s mother reportedly washed the victim with water while waiting for the emergency services.

Ortiz was unresponsive when the medical staff reached to help

According to the officers, Ortiz was badly injured and barely conscious when the ambulance arrived.

Police have not yet publicly identified the suspect and do not appear to have made any arrests.

The GoFundMe campaign is raising money for the Ortiz family.

L.A.’s Finest: Delayed Season 2 Gets September Premiere Date on Spectrum — All 13 Episodes Dropping Together

Two of L.A.’s Finest are returning for duty next month. Spectrum Originals is making the entire 13-episode second season of its Bad Boys offshoot available to watch On Demand beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9, TVLine has learned.

The new season was originally slated to bow in June, but it was pushed back in the wake of civil unrest sparked by police violence that led to George Floyd and Breonna Taylor’s deaths earlier this year.

So, what’s in store for Syd (Gabrielle Union) and Nancy (Jessica Alba) in Season 2? According to Spectrum’s official teaser, “Syd mourns the sudden loss of a friend and struggles to find answers, while McKenna must deal with the aftermath of Izzy’s kidnapping and the rift it has left in her marriage. But when a powerful crimewave in Koreatown threatens to destroy the community, Syd, McKenna and the team must find those responsible before it’s too late.”

L.A.’s Finest also stars Duane Martin (All of Us), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Ryan McPartlin (Chuck), Sophie Reynolds (Big Hero 6: The Series) and Ernie Hudson (Oz).

In other recent L.A.’s Finest news, Fox announced that it will air the show’s first season — acquired from Sony Pictures Television back in May — beginning Monday, Sept. 21 at 8/7c. It will lead into the network’s soapy drama Filthy Rich (9 pm), which stars Sex and the City‘s Kim Cattrall as the matriarch of a wealthy Southern family that is rocked by its patriarch’s sudden death.
