Every Look You Need to See From Fashion Week Spring 2021

As they always say, the show must go on. And, as the world has learned this year, that applies even in a pandemic.

With the coronavirus pandemic turning all facets of life on its head in 2020, people and industries around the world are now figuring out how to forge ahead in the midst of this current “normal” and the fashion world is no different. As the bi-annual fashion week calendar commences in New York, things will certainly look different.

Given unprecedented health and safety guidelines in place, which will restrict how many people can physically take party in any event, fans should expect to see many more digital elements incorporated into this season’s showing. And, if the recent presentations from this summer’s men’s fashion week are any indication, we’ll be seeing plenty more of runway reimagining in the coming days.

For better or worse, the experience won’t be the same, but the center of it all—fashion—remains. From Jason Wu to Rebecca Minkoff, Cinq à Sept to Christian Siriano, rest assured the creations of some of the fashion world’s most beloved New York designers will be unveiled this week, even if there are less people squeezed backstage, fewer seats in the audience and not as many flashes from the photographer pit.

Kelly Clarkson’s Surprise Confession About Her Divorce

On Monday, Kelly Clarkson addressed her divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock on the Season 2 premiere of her show “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Clarkson revealed of 2020 that it “has brought a lot of change, also to my personal life. Definitely didn’t see anything coming that came.”

“What I’m dealing with is hard because it involves more than just my heart, it involves a lot of little hearts. We have four kids, and divorce is never easy,” Kelly admitted. “We’re both from divorced families. We know the best thing here is to protect our children and their little hearts.”

For the sake of their kids, Clarkson explained that she’ll refrain from sharing too much about the split. She explained, “I’m usually very open and I usually talk about everything, but in this case I will talk about a little bit here and there about how (the divorce) affects me personally, but probably won’t go too far into it because, you know, I’m a mama bear and my kids come first.”

Despite the split, Clarkson reassured viewers that she is dong “okay,” adding, “Music’s always been my outlet to help me get through difficult times.”

Clarkson has also been leaning on her friends. Last week, Clarkson told “Sunday Today” host Willie Geist, “I’ve been talking to friends that have been through divorce. I don’t know how people go through that without having some kind of outlet.”

Along with calling divorce the “worst thing ever,” she said, “It’s no secret — my life has been a little bit of a dumpster, personally. It’s been a little hard the last couple months.”

Clarkson and Blackstock split in June after nearly seven years of marriage.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Christina, 37, and El Moussa, 39, were spotted together on the Los Angeles set of their long-running HGTV series, Flip or Flop, on Monday, September 21.

On Friday, September 18, Christina announced her split from Ant, 41, after less than two years of marriage. “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” she wrote via Instagram, sharing an image of the pair standing on a beach at sunset. “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”

The Christina on the Coast star wed Ant in December 2018. That following September, they welcomed their 12-month-old son, Hudson.

A source exclusively told Us Weekly that Christina and Ant hid their separation plans, even from their close friends. The estranged pair “have been very private about this and friends are shocked to hear the news because they seemed happy together publicly and while in front of others,” the insider said.

Christina was previously married to El Moussa from 2009 to 2018. The exes share daughter Taylor, 9, and son Brayden, 5.

Christina and El Moussa have remained on good terms despite their split. Earlier this month, El Moussa spoke to Us about how the former duo have found balance in their coparenting and working dynamics.

“We’re cordial and we filmed together,” he explained on September 14. “We’re not hanging out on Sundays having barbecues, but you know, it’s all good. Life goes on and we’re good. We’re doing great filming together. The kids are great. And life is good.”

An insider revealed to Us that El Moussa, who is currently engaged to Selling Sunset’s Heather Rae Young, is “sad” to see Christina “going through a hard time” with her divorce. However, the source said that the Flipping 101 star “did not think that Christina and Ant would last.”

In accepting her award she took the opportunity to raise awareness for Breonna Taylor and honored her by wearing a T-shirt baring her face. She also shouted out the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“Gotta vote. I would be remiss not to mention that, being a part of a show as prescient as Watchmen,” said King. “Have a voting plan, go to, vote up the ballot, please. … it is very important. Be a good human. Rest in power RBG. Thank you.”

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II won an Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in a limited series for his pivotal role as Cal Abar. During his speech he wanted to raise awareness about a more hidden plot in the show.

“It was a story about the lasting scars of white domestic violence — white domestic terrorism, pardon me. It was a story about police corruption and brutality,” he said. “But in the midst of all that, it was also a story about a guy who came down to earth to reciprocate to a Black woman all the love that she deserved.”

He added: “He offers her sacrifices and support. Passion. Protection. And he did all that in the body of a Black man. I’m so proud that I was able to walk into those shoes, so I dedicate this award to all the Black women in my life.”

Writers Damon Lindelof and Cord Jefferson called attention to the plot of Watchmen, which revolves around the Tulsa Massacre of 1921.

“I would be remiss if we didn’t recognize all the men and women who died in the Tulsa Massacre in 1921, the original sin of our show,” Jefferson said. “This country neglects and forgets its own history at its own peril often and we should never forget that.”

Starring King, Jeremy Irons, Jean Smart and Don Johnson, Watchmen was inspired by the 1987 graphic novel of the same name and explores an alternate reality where masked vigilantes are hunted as criminals. It takes on issues of terrorism, police brutality and racism.

Watchmen also won awards for Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special and the overall Limited Series category.
