Amanda Kloots moves into the new home she bought with Nick Cordero before his death
Amanda Kloots has moved into the Los Angeles home that her and Nick Cordero bought before his death.
Kloots, 38, shared a photo of Cordero — who died at 41 from coronavirus complications — smiling on the floor of their new home after purchasing it.
“This is us, the day we got our keys to our first home before we started renovations. I remember taking this picture, documenting the ‘before’ so we could show the progress each month,” Kloots wrote in the caption on Instagram. “Nick bought us this house. He found the listing, insisted on going to the open house and did all the work to get the mortgage. He knew we needed a home and I’m so grateful, especially now, for his foresight.”
In the photo, Cordero and Kloots are seen sitting on the wooden floors of their new home as they hold their 16-month-old son Elvis Eduardo.

“We move into our new home today and I thought I’d be terrified but it’s oddly been comforting,” she added. “Isn’t that funny how the things you get yourself so worried about emotionally sometimes aren’t that bad in the end? I think this is because I know this was Nick’s dream and today Elvis and I are bringing that dream to life.”
Kloots ended the post with a quote from Broadway director Susan Stroman, “Do it full out with great conviction!”
Zach Braff, a close friend of the family, commented on the post.
“I love you. He is there with you,” he wrote. “And we will help you make that house your home.”

“Congrats on your new home. May it be a place of healing, new and beautiful memories and may you and Elvis feel Nick with every step of the way. Sending you all my love,” Jennifer Love Hewitt commented.
The family were in the process of moving their live over from New York City to Los Angeles when Cordero was diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Braff had been hosting Kloots and his family at his guest house as the family coped with his devastating health battle.
Since being admitted to hospital in late March, Cordero was put into a medically induced coma, had his right leg amputated, was given a temporary pacemaker, lost more than 60 pounds (29kg), and was preparing for the possibility of a double lung transplant.
He passed away on July 5.

Everything we know about Halifax: Retribution
Complex, flawed and a leader in her field of forensic psychiatry — Jane Halifax was a rare TV character in the 1990s, when there were few dynamic leading roles for women on screen.
Now Jane is back in the new TV series Halifax: Retribution, with Rebecca Gibney reprising one of her most iconic roles.
When does Halifax: Retirbution premiere?
Halifax: Retirbution premieres Tuesday August 25 at 8.45pm on Nine and 9Now.
What is Halifax: Retribution about?
Jane is enjoying a life away from working as a forensic psychiatrist on the police frontline as a university professor. She is also in a stable and loving long-term relationship with her musician partner Ben, and is comfortable in her role as stepmother to his daughter Zoe.
However, the case of a serial killer who is terrorising Melbourne lures her back to the job she left behind as the case suddenly gets very personal.
Who is in the Halifax: Retribution cast?
Rebecca Gibney returns as Jane Halifax and is also an executive producer on the show. She is joined by Hollywood-based actor Anthony LaPaglia, who plays Inspector Tom Saracen, the head of the police task force investigating the serial killer.
The rest of the cast includes A Place to Call Home‘s Craig Hall as Ben, ex-Neighbours actress Mavournee Hazel as Zoe, and Aussie TV favourite Claudia Karvan as Zoe’s biological mother Mandy.
Halifax: Retribution also stars 800 Words‘ Rick Donald, Upper Middle Bogan‘s Michala Banas and Love Child‘s Mandy McElhinney.
What is the connection to Halifax f.p.?
Created by Roger Simpson, Halifax f.p. was a series of telemovies that aired from 1994 to 2002 and followed the work of forensic psychiatrist Jane Halifax. There were 21 movies in total and each had a standalone story, with Jane the only regular character. Halifax f.p. was both a popular and critical success with that led to six Logie and two AFI award nominations for Gibney.
Halifax: Retribution continues Jane’s story 20 years after the events of the final Halifax f.p. movie. It will also feature the return of Jacqueline McKenzie’s character Sharon, who appeared in the 1995 telemovie Lies of the Mind.
Halifax: Retribution premieres Tuesday August 25 at 8.45pm on Nine and 9Now. Stream every episode ever of Halifax f.p. for free on 9Now.
We Asked A Bunch Of Gen Z & Millennial Aussies If They Really Think Boomers Fucked The Planet
There’s nothing we love more than a little bit of generational warfare to make everyone mad. Millennials are killing the diamond industry. Boomers fucked the planet. And all Gen Z knows is TikTok, eat chips, and lie.
None of those are remotely true – except maybe Boomers fucking the planet. But let’s be honest, we’ve all played a part in that one (including you, Gen X, who always whine about being forgotten in the generational sniping).
Recently, a TikTok about what Gen Zers really think about millennials went viral. It not only cementing the fact that millennials are no longer synonymous with youth, but revealed that actual young people think millennials are kind of pathetic.
“They be 34 talking about “I’m a Hufflepuff” like grow up and do a line of coke already,” one person said.
But given the millennials vs boomers fight has been playing out for a decade, we wanted to both bring Gen Z into the conversation, and find out if the millennial stereotypes were true.
So for our seventh episode of 27 Pedestrians, we asked our young Aussies – who are either Gen Z (born between 1995 and 2015) or millennials (born between 1981 and 1994) – what they actually think about boomers.
Did they really screw the planet, buy all the houses, and refuse to leave the cushy jobs we’ll never, ever see? Or are they just a flawed group like any other?
TBH, the answers were a real mixed bag.
“Listen. The majority of them could just get in the fucking bin,” Sarah May, 33, said.
“I mean, there’s good and bad in everyone, and I think regardless of age bracket, there’s just people who refuse to grow as a person, or to learn new things, and the boomers are big on that.”
Ayeesha, 27, took a gentler approach, pointing to her grandma as an example.
“So my nana is a boomer, she’s born in 1944,” Ayeesha said. “She’s really cool, she’s open-minded, took my mum and my aunty to the first ever Mardi Gras, but I feel like she is maybe an exception to the rule.”
Quite a few people included a #NotAllBoomers answer, and some, like Zoe, 22, said we had heaps to learn from them and should probably stop shitting on an entire generation.
Claudes, 25, might have been the only person who turned the lens on his own peer group.
“People in general frustrate me immensely,” Claudes said.
“I could probably pick up the same amount of things that piss me off about Gen Z that piss me off about boomers.”
