‘GoT’ star Kit Harington is done playing ‘masculine’ hero roles

He’s no hero.

Actor Kit Harington, who famously played “Game of Thrones” protagonist Jon Snow for nearly a decade, is not interested in playing those roles anymore.

In an interview with the Telegraph, he explained why he’s not interested in portraying the male “hero” on-screen these days.

“I feel that emotionally men have a problem, a blockage, and that blockage has come from the Second World War, passed down from grandfather to father to son,” Harington, 33, told the British newspaper.

“We do not speak about how we feel because it shows weakness, because it is not masculine. Having portrayed a man who was silent, who was heroic, I feel going forward that is a role I don’t want to play anymore,” he said.

“It is not a masculine role that the world needs to see much more of,” he said.

‘Having portrayed a man who was silent, who was heroic, I feel going forward that is a role I don’t want to play anymore.’

The character Jon Snow has qualities of a classic hero: righteous, courageous and stoic. Harington said that he intends to move on from such roles, in search of more complex men to play on-screen — ones more like himself, although he said he had contributed “a certain self-reflective, introverted broodiness” to Snow’s personality.

The British actor also opened up about his “gender fluid” childhood, sharing how his mother, former playwright Deborah Jane Catesby, guided her sons on issues of gender politics.

“I asked for a Mighty Max, and she bought me a Polly Pocket,” Harington said. “I asked for an Action Man, and I got a doll — it was very gender fluid from the word go. And I went with it.”

Harington can currently be seen guest-starring in the Netflix police drama series “Criminal,” now in its second season. He’ll also appear in the new Marvel flick “The Eternals,” alongside Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani and Richard Madden (Robb Stark in “GoT”), scheduled for release next year.

Kulture Has Instagram, Thanks To Cardi B, & She Already Has So Many Followers

It looks like there’s a new Instagram queen in town. Kulture Kiari Cephus, the 2-year-old daughter of Cardi B, has officially joined the gram. Sure, Kulture’s mom is one of the most famous rappers in the world, but Kulture has become a celebrity in her own right. Between making music video appearances and frequenting Cardi’s Instagram page, she’s built quite the loyal fanbase in her two years of life. So, it’s no surprise now that Kulture has Instagram, she’s racked up a huge following.

Little Kulture’s account was launched by her mother on Sept. 19 and gained about 600,000 followers in her first day alone. Kulture’s Instagram bio says it all. “I like everything pink,” the top of her page says. Her bio also adds that she’s “spoiled.”

Since launching her page, Cardi has shared endless cute content of her daughter on IG. Kulture’s first-ever post showed her rocking an adorable plaid skirt and a Louis Vuitton backpack. She puckered her lips duck face style as she struck a pose. “Hello everyone,” the pic was captioned.

Another post showed off all of Kulture’s designer bling, including a slew of diamond necklaces featuring her name. “I’m icey,” Cardi captioned her daughter’s post.

The best post of all might have been the one where Kulture was seen twinning with her mom in bright pink outfits. The post also included a sassy caption. “Me & my mommy …..My mom was annoying me but it’s ok cause I look cute,” the post read.

While Cardi first sheltered Kulture from the public eye after giving birth, she’s become much more open about her personal life as of late. Speaking to Radio.com in August, she gave an update on Kulture’s ever-changing personality.

“These terrible two things, it doesn’t come in the middle,” she explained. “It just comes right away. Her tantrums sometimes, I’ll be like, ‘Oh my gosh. This is crazy.’ She has this look where I’ll be like, ‘You are up to no good.’ “

It sounds like Kulture is shaping up the be the ultimate social media queen (and sass queen) just like her mom.

Photographer Does Adorable Newborn Photoshoot With A Baby Piglet Because The World Needs More Cuteness (14 Pics) Interview With Artist

Professional photoshoots are a great way of celebrating a number of occasions (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, etc.) as well as just celebrating life, like having a newborn photoshoot.

Speaking of newborn photoshoots, Cashlie White, a mother of 2 and photographer from Newcastle, Oklahoma, recently did a newborn photoshoot that has been making headlines online. A photoshoot of a newborn piglet. Oh, you better believe it’s adorable!

Ever heard of newborn photoshoots? What about newborn piglet photoshoots? Equally adorable!

So, Cashlie’s friend Connie Hamilton owns the piglet named Dynamite along with its entire piglet family, the Hamilton Show Pigs. Since Dynamite is the runt of the litter, Connie had to give her special attention.

“She posted a picture of Dynamite on her Facebook page and I reached out and said ‘Connie, we’ve GOT to do a newborn session with your baby pig!’” explained Cashlie. “It was just a fun thing to do. I’d seen photos of puppies like that, but never a pig! I’ve loved and been around agriculture my whole life, so being able to put my love for animals and my passion and skill for photography together just made sense.”

And so the photoshoot was born. As it turns out, taking photos of a piglet is pretty much like taking photos of a newborn baby: she got a bath before the shoot and was gently put to sleep with all the shooshing and swaddling tricks whilst being rocked in Cashlie’s arms.

Dynamite was kept warm using the small space heater that Cashlie owns for such occasions, and the room was kept quiet so as to facilitate sleep. Soon, the piglet was out in slumberland.

“Honestly, she was easier than some newborn babies I’ve had. She was only 2 weeks old, so that helped with her being comfortable sleeping,” elaborated Cashlie. “We gave her a bath and then I swaddled and shooshed her like a baby. I had a small space heater to help keep her warm and she went to sleep in my arms.”

This was Cashlie’s first photoshoot of a newborn animal, but this experience was enough to inspire her to do more animal photoshoots:

“I’ll be trying to work with more farm animals in the coming weeks and months: baby chicks, goats, sheep, and more. I’m open to all animals, though!”

She continued: “I hope that I’ll be able to continue doing these types of shoots because it’s obviously something the world needs more of and I’m hoping more people reach out to let me take photos of their animals!”

The photoshoot soon found its way onto the internet, where it drew lots of people’s attention. Photos popped up on Cashlie’s professional photography page and were soon picked up by a number of media outlets online, leaving Cashlie quite surprised it has gone viral as much as it has.

“I thought the photos would get a good response from our friends and family, but I could have never imagined that they would go viral! God is so faithful and good. I think the world just needed some good in their newsfeeds and Dynamite was exactly that.”

She continued: “The owner, Connie Hamilton, said she couldn’t stop smiling after I left, then when the photos started to go viral, she got teary. We’re both just so thankful that God has blessed us with this opportunity.”

People were melting at the mere sight of the newborn piglet all cuddled up in the warm newborn blankets, seemingly giving a piggy-like smile whilst snorting away in her dreams. Many complimented Cashlie’s photography, saying this is one of the best photoshoots they have ever seen.
