Jenna Ushkowitz Celebrates Her Engagement With Glee Reunion

Time to celebrate the bride-to-be!

One month after Jenna Ushkowitz got engaged to boyfriend David Stanley, the Glee star was able to enjoy her new relationship status with a safe and intimate engagement party on Sept. 13.

As seen on Instagram Stories, Jenna joined close friends including former Glee co-stars Heather Morris, Kevin McHale and Becca Tobin for an outdoor lunch with a little help from The Picnic Collective.

Complete with donuts, drinks (including Boyd & Blair cocktails) and a few heartfelt toasts, guests including fellow bride-to-be Meg Doyle appeared to savor the “surprise dual engagement party” filled with love and laughs.

For those curious about how the coronavirus pandemic affected the Southern California celebrations, Jenna told her 1 million followers on Instagram Stories that “we all got tested” beforehand to ensure everyone was healthy.

“I’m so lucky,” Jenna shared on Instagram after sharing some of her favorite memories from the bash. “Best Sunday ever? Best Sunday ever.”

RHOBH: What would have happened if Denise Richards didn’t return?

Imagine what the storyline would have been if Denise Richards didn’t participate in season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

While the rest of us were catching bits and pieces of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills filmed events on social media, obviously a lot was going on behind the scenes, especially with Denise Richards  Filming began for last season at the usual time but seemed to extend much further than usual.  Back in Nov. 2019, we questioned if the season was so boring that they needed every housewife friend in the book to stir up some drama.  Well, it turns out that was exactly the case.

It was around November that we knew Kim Richards, Camille Grammer, Brandi Glanville, Eileen Davidson and Kris Richards were a part of filming.  Production wanted us to believe that the events with Kim and Brandi at Kyle Richards house happened in early Nov., even though most signs point to it being filmed much closer to December.

It seems like someone, i.e. Kyle, heard rumors about Denise and Brandi and decided to run with it.  But they had already filmed for at least two, maybe even three months, at that point.  Literally nothing happened that was worth airing?

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s All in by Teddi retreat was in Oct. 2019 according to an article by Bravo.  Imagine in Denise didn’t film at all.  All we would have had was Kyle doing splits, Teddi eating 500 calories a day and being pregnant, and Lisa Rinna using her daughter’s disordered eating for attention.  Oh, and Kyle would have dragged out the issue of Garcelle Beauvais not paying immediately at the charity event.

If nothing else, Denise carried the entire season due to nothing else noteworthy happening.  So where would we be right now if Denise didn’t return for season 10?  Perhaps we would have gotten some new cast members already and would have overthrown the RHOBH royalty.  Perhaps we would have a stronger cast prepared and the show would be interesting again.

Maybe Denise would be in a better place, too.  Sure, she made a lot of money being badgered by these atrocious women, but was it worth it?  No matter the case, she clearly came out on top.  We will miss you, Denise, but we sure don’t blame you.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion part 3 airs Wednesday, September 16.

Netflix & Chill? More like Netflix & Chills. In October, the streaming giant is getting into the spooky spirit with its annual Halloween campaign, a monthlong event of thrills, frights, and on-demand delights. Hallo-h yeah.

Next month, Adam Sandler will debut his highly-anticipated Uncut Gems follow-up Hubie Halloween, a film that couldn’t be any more different from the critically-acclaimed gambling drama. Hubie Halloween stars Sandler as Hubie Dubois, a Salem, Massachusetts resident who sets out to convince his fellow citizens that the monsters terrorizing town are, in fact, real. The family comedy also stars Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, and Steve Buscemi, so tune in to see if these A-list stars can save Halloween once and for all.

Not in the mood for Halloween? No problem. October also brings a host of new Netflix series (we’re particularly excited for New York City-set teen drama Grand Army), movies like Over the Moon and Rebecca, and Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7. Plus, the sixth and final season of Emmy sweeper Schitt’s Creek will finally hit Netflix next month, so you may as well go ahead and cancel your plans now.

What else is hitting Netflix next month? Here are all the best new Netflix shows and new movies on Netflix October 2020.
