Magic’s Jonathan Isaac suffers knee injury, Internet slams trolls who say ‘now he’ll kneel for the anthem’

On Sunday, it was of Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings in the NBA league, when Orlando forward Jonathan Isaac went down with a knee injury in the fourth quarter of the game. Isaac was later carted off the court in a wheelchair. The incident happened after Isaac refused to kneel down during the national anthem as part of the Black Lives Matter movement on Thursday. He was also the first NBA player to not wear a ‘Black Lives Matter’ shirt during the rendition.

Connecting the dots of Isaac’s injury with his decision of not kneeling down during the national anthem, people started slamming the player on the Internet. As the slam fest was in full bloom, one Twitter user said it all happened because of his ‘karma’, saying, “That Jonathan Isaac karma was swift. God knows that Black Lives Matter. He created us,” and another user said, “Lmaoo he wouldn’t take a knee during the anthem so god took his whole knee.” Another mean comment came in, saying, “maybe now he’ll kneel for the anthem.”

Some people wished him for his health but didn’t shy away from slamming him, in the same post, as one of the users said, “Well hopefully he has a speedy recovery and educates himself on why BLM is important and why using Jesus as an excuse to support all lives matter isn’t okay.”

Replying to the trolls against the player, some users also came out in his support, saying, “Man you’re really dumb if you think God causes injuries. Also, that man did what he thought was right (as we all should) and when interviewed about it he took the opportunity to share the gospel. So please don’t use God for your petty jabs next time,” and “As long as u believe in helping black/minority people, u don’t have to kneel or wear a shirt. Hell! Pop didn’t kneel and he has always had black peoples back. I dont want u to do something that u don’t 100% believe n.” One Twitter user slammed the people who were making fun of him by saying, “All of you laughing at his injury just because he didn’t protest the way you would and because he didn’t wear a merchandising shirt. You are worse than what you are trying to eradicate. You are part of the problem too.”

Isaac had four points and three rebounds in the game when he went down. He faced a similar injury in his left knee initially in January and was expected to miss the remainder of the game season recovering.

Backstage News On Who Was Behind Parking Lot Fight On AEW Dynamite, Original Plans For The Match

The Best Friends defeated Santana and Ortiz in a wild Parking Lot Fight to close out last night’s AEW Dynamite. With an assist from Orange Cassidy, the duo picked up the win after Trent put Ortiz through a sheet of wood that was laying across a truck bed.

The original plans for this match was Santana and Ortiz versus Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.

Apparently, Santana suggested doing it with The Best Friends, and AEW Coach Jerry Lynn was prominent in putting this match together. Although, every wrestler involved was said to throw in some ideas, as well.

The concept for the match was brought up by AEW President Tony Khan, who also helped with putting the actual match together.

As noted, the Parking Lot Fight received praise from Khan, who noted it was all done in one take.

Being Cast on ‘Kitchen Crashers’ Is Like Getting a $40,000 Gift

As fans of Kitchen Crashers know, the DIY Network program loves to surprise unsuspecting shoppers at home improvement stores with professional remodels, but who is expected to pay for these pricy renovations?

Lucky for us, past participants have opened up about their experiences on the various Crashers shows (which include Kitchen, Yard, Bath, House, and Room), though getting cast is tougher than you think.

Who pays for the work on ‘Kitchen Crashers’?

All five versions of Crashers use the same production company, Big Table Media, who foots the bill for the projects. However, local businesses typically donate their goods and services in exchange for free advertising.

On top of that, home makeover shows tend to have big-budget sponsors, like Bed Bath & Beyond and Target, to help cover certain costs. In a 2019 blog post, one of the franchise’s former clients, Bill Cunningham, confirmed that he didn’t contribute a single penny to his renovation.

“My wife and I were on Bath Crashers and while we received a $40,000 high-end bath remodel, as the homeowners we never saw an invoice for one single item or trade that worked on our project,” he stated.

“Everyone related to the show was really amazing,” he added. “Like a group of fun and talented friends who take over your house for a few days. It’s a crazy few days which will leave you sleep deprived and exhausted, but my wife and I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

Mike and Wendy Schmiedeler, a couple from Oak Park, Ill., were thrilled with how interior designer Alison Victoria and her Kitchen Crashers crew transformed their outdated space. “The new kitchen is great,” the duo told the Wednesday Journal after their episode aired.

“It looks fun and modern now, and the layout makes a ton of sense, and, of course, the new appliances are fantastic,” Wendy shared. “People were skeptical that we would turn over the design decisions to someone else… There was nothing anyone could do to this kitchen to make it worse than it already was.”

There isn’t an online application for ‘Kitchen Crashers’.

Unfortunately, most of the people you see on the Crashers shows were actually found in home improvement stores, meaning your odds of manufacturing an appearance are slim.

The Schmiedelers, for example, were selected to appear on Kitchen Crashers while shopping at Lowe’s. “We are looking for homeowners who really need and want a new kitchen, who will really appreciate it,” Victoria, who also hosts HGTV’s Windy City Rehab, said in 2012.

Yard Crashers’ star Chris Lambton previously told Popsugar that viewers would be shocked by the number of individuals who turn down his offer for a free lawn makeover.

“It’s funny how many people when I walk up to them just say ‘no’ to me or walk away without talking much,” he revealed. “That was one of the biggest surprises I found from doing Yard Crashers, how many people don’t even want to talk to me.”

Though the DIY franchise does its best to be authentic, no reality show is 100 percent real. As one redditor noted in 2017, “My friend’s sister knew the [Yard Crashers] producer so they set it up where my friend would be at Lowe’s and then the host would surprise [him] and his wife. Far from random.”

We just care about the transformations.

Tyra Banks claps back at ‘Dancing with the Stars’ haters: ‘I messed up,’ but ‘I kept going’

Keep coming for Tyra Banks all you want, but she’s going to remain unbothered. In a TikTok video following Tuesday’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” the host addressed the hate she’s been getting on social media after flubbing some lines on the show.

“Tonight, I hosted the second episode of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ … and it wasn’t perfect,” Banks said. “Yeah, I had a lot of fun, but I messed up. I said the wrong words, but the thing is I kept, kept going.”

The supermodel pointed to Skai Jackson, who bungled a lift during her samba with Alan Bersten and received a 15, tying Charles Oakley, who ended up getting eliminated, for the lowest score of the night.

“She got back up and she kept going. And because of that, she’s here for another week. So the message is: I messed up this week, Skai messed up this week, but we’re gonna keep on going and going,” Banks said of the 18-year-old Disney star.

“Forgive yourself when you mess up. Stand the heck up and keep going,” she continued. “And tell the haters, ‘What? what? I don’t know your name. What? What? I don’t see you. What? What? ‘Cause I’m getting up and I’m keeping going.’”

SEE Nope, Tom Bergeron will not rage out against Tyra Banks: ‘Nothing against’ the new ‘Dancing with the Stars’ host

Banks, of course, is no stranger to scrutiny from “Dancing” fans. Many are upset about her replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, who were fired in July as part of a creative overhaul. The “America’s Next Top Model” creator was well aware of the difficult situation she was stepping into and has nothing but admiration for Bergeron and Andrews.

“They lead the show. This is one of the top-rated shows in the world,” Banks said earlier this month. “So me respecting the stage that they have set and then adding my icing to that, I feel confident about that. But of course, it’s a challenge, but I don’t back away from challenges.”
