Rumors CONFIRMED! Dolly Parton Reveals She Really Does Have A Bunch Of Secret Tattoos!

The truth is setting Dolly Parton free!

In case you’d never heard, there’s been a very silly rumor around for years that Dolly’s consistently long-sleeved outfits are covering everything up not out of modesty — form-fitting as they are — but to hide the fact she’s covered in tattoos! Like we said, it’s been a pretty wild celeb rumor with no evidence to back it up… But the thing is… it’s true!

In a candid sit-down with People, the country music icon confirmed for the first time she does have a bunch of tattoos!

She shared with the outlet:

“I do have some tattoos, that’s true. But they’re tasteful. I’m not a tattoo girl.”

OK, some tattoos. Probably not covered neck-to-toe as she says she’s “not a tattoo girl” — but from the sound of it she does have quite a few:

“My tattoos are pretty, they’re artful and they usually started out to cover some scar, not to make a big statement. Ribbons and bows and butterflies are the things that I have.”

Note all the plurals there! Sounds like quite a bit of ink! The 74-year-old revealed an illness led to her getting tattooed initially:

“I was very sick for a while and I had to wear a feeding tube. It left a little indention in my side and I didn’t like it because I’m so fair that scars turn purple on me.”

So now is every scar on her body a tattoo? Kinda sounds like it!

In addition to the ribbons, bows, and butterflies, there is also a beehive! The Grammy Award winner described:

“I like to make positives out of negatives. I had a little beehive tattooed over it — a little yellow-and-brown beehive with a tiny little bee on top of the hive. The mouth of it is that little sinkhole.”

Aw, that’s cute! Leave it to the woman who wrote Jolene to turn a scar into something beautiful, right??

One design we can rule out however is anything dedicated to Carl Dean, her husband of 54 years. Unlike all these kids getting their significant others’ names and symbols permanently drawn on, Dolly is not into that kind of show of commitment:

“No, he’s tattooed on my heart. Who knows, I may get some more later. I may just have to get covered with tattoos just so everybody could be right!”

Ha! We’d love to see that!

But having a collection of ink under her sequined sleeves isn’t the only rumor that’s been circulating for years:

“Oh yeah! I always laugh at them. One, it shows up about every three years in the tabloids, where I’m bedridden because my boobs are so heavy that I’m crippled for life on my back. I just laugh. Well, they are heavy, but they haven’t crippled me yet.”

Headlines have included ‘DOLLY BEDRIDDEN,’ she says, but that couldn’t be further from the truth:

“And then they find a picture of me, from when I was actually doing a video, you know, laying on all the bed somewhere. And the story is that my spine is injured or whatever. I just think, ‘Oh my Lord. If they were that heavy, I’d have them changed. I’d have them lessened.’”

Ha! Never change, Dolly! Except of course for getting full body ink, LOLz!

Tell us, Perezcious readers! Did U expect this from Dolly or nah?! Let us know (below) in the comments.

KJ Apa & Camila Mendes Reveal “New Normal” of Riverdale Kissing

Talk about killing the mood. KJ Apa revealed how he and co-star Camila Mendes are filming their make out scenes on Riverdale during the coronavirus pandemic.

Obviously, they can’t stay six feet apart while kissing onscreen as Archie and Veronica. So he posted a video on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to show how they gargle with mouth wash for more than 30 seconds before every single take. They linked arms as if drinking to a toast, handed their empty paper cups to crew members wearing blue gloves and then spat it out into plastic bags. It’s not as glamorous as it sounds.

Apa wrote, “our new normal is washing our mouths before every take of a make-out scene…” Hey, safety is their priority! Varchie is nothing if not hygienic.

Mendes reposted the video on her story with the champagne cheers emoji as if to say, “Bottoms up!”

Of course, IRL, Apa is dating model Clara Berry, while Mendes is coupled up with photographer Grayson Vaughan after splitting from co-star Charles Melton in December.

‘Schitt’s Creek’ to Launch in National Syndication Following Emmys Sweep

The “Schitt’s” sweep keeps on coming, with the fan-favorite comedy now airing pretty much everywhere, following the cult comedy’s Emmys domination this past weekend.

“Schitt’s Creek” will launch into national syndication across U.S. broadcast markets starting on Sept. 28, Variety has learned. Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury owns the domestic broadcast rights to the series.

The syndication deal was first announced last fall, but the timing of the syndicated launch could not be more fitting, given “Schitt’s Creek’s” performance at the Primetime Emmy Awards, winning all of the top comedy awards and making history as the first series — comedy or drama — to win all categories in its field, including outstanding comedy. The show also broke the record for the most wins for a comedy show in one given year.

“What begins as a fish-out-of-water story quickly develops into a nuanced love letter to family, delivered with warmth, humanity and perfect comedic timing. With a gifted cast and whip-smart writing, it’s easy to see why ‘Schitt’s Creek’ appeals to Emmy voters, critics and viewers, and has built a loyal and passionate fan base,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said in a statement. “We are excited to bring the Emmy Award-winning series to broadcast television stations and introduce the iconic Rose family to a new audience.”

“Schitt’s Creek” first began airing in Canada, before making its way to U.S. audiences on Pop TV. When Pop TV made a streaming deal with Netflix, the show found new life — and millions of eyeballs. Nothing about “Schitt’s Creek” has been typical in the world of television: ratings for the show grew each season, and the comedy garnered award buzz toward the end of its run.

Always a critical darling, “Schitt’s Creek” was first nominated at the Emmys in 2019, before winning big at the 2020 awards, giving veteran comedy actors Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara the first acting Emmys of their careers, winning for lead actor and actress in a comedy, respectively. Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy won in the supporting comedy categories, and the younger Levy — who ran the series — also took home trophies for writing and co-directing. Including the Creative Arts Emmys, “Schitt’s Creek” won a total of nine Emmys this past week.

Despite the late-found and blossoming success of the show, which follows an affluent family forced to live in a small-town motel after losing everything, Levy decided to end the series after its sixth season.

With the syndication deal, “Schitt’s Creek” will now be airing in broadcast syndication, on cable TV and numerous streaming platforms.

ViacomCBS announced on Monday — the day after the Emmys — that Pop TV’s sister network Comedy Central will air all six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek” beginning on Oct. 2, with the cabler scheduling five episodes per week. Netflix, which already carries the first five seasons of the series, will begin streaming that sixth and final season on Oct. 7. And, the first five seasons of the show are currently available on CW Seed, with Season 6 launching on the free service on Oct. 7.
