Power Book II: Ghost EP Wants Redman to Play Davis’ Brother, and Method Man Approves: ‘He Would Kill That’

When it comes to filling a potential casting slot, Power Book II: Ghost boss Courtney Kemp is aiming high.

How high? Allow us to explain.

If you watched the Power spinoff’s premiere, you might recall the scene in which slick criminal defense lawyer Davis Maclean (played by Clifford “Method Man” Smith) met his new client, Tasha St. Patrick, and mentioned that he’d once had to represent his own brother.

Viewers haven’t yet been introduced to Maclean’s sibling, but Kemp says she knows exactly who she’d like to play him.

“My dream is to get Redman to do it,” Kemp tells TVLine, laughing as she clarifies that the casting of the Grammy-nominated rapper remains solely in her brain… for now. “That’s my dream,” she adds, “but I don’t know yet. We haven’t gotten there yet.”

Reginald “Redman” Noble of Def Squad and Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan have been a rap/pop-culture duo for more than two decades, teaming up for albums like Blackout!, a movie called How High and a very brief 2004 Fox sitcom called Method & Red.

When TVLine raised Kemp’s idea with Smith, his face broke into a giant smile. “That would be crazy, and Redman would kill it, he would kill that,” he said. Smith added that he thinks his frequent collaborator would “absolutely” be willing to take on the part, “and it would be comedy. All day long, it would be comedy.” He laughed. “We play so well off each other, it’s ridiculous.”

‘Below Deck Med’s Rob Westergaard Was in A Tantric Sex Movie?! What You Should Know About ‘Sexology’

Well, Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Rob Westergaard is just full of surprises, isn’t he? First, we learned about his modeling days with Taylor Swift, and now, he’s clued us into another super sexy project he was a part of.

In the latest episode of the Bravo series, as the deckhand is getting ready to spend the night in the guest cabin with his girlfriend, third stew Jessica More, Rob says in his interview, “She’s a sexual person, I’m a sexual person.” Cool! As if the fact that they had to be reprimanded for making out on the boat within eyeshot of the guests earlier in the episode wasn’t already an indication of that.

But then Rob says, “I was in a documentary about tantric sex so the whole idea is like, you release your energy out of your emotional love tank and then that goes through her. Sting and his wife, I heard that they have sex for three days straight, doing it, you know.” Well, these two had a charter the next day so there would have to be a time limit on just how tantric they could get.

However, judging by the noises coming from that guest cabin, let’s just say it sounds like Rob as learned a thing or two from this documentary he was a part of.

So where can you see it? Well, the documentary is called Sexology and was released in 2016. It features Gabrielle Anwar and Catherine Oxenberg as they set out to discover all they can about the female orgasm. You can peep Rob in the trailer around the 5:15 mark. Currently, you can rent the documentary (that appears to be quite life-changing!) on Prime Video for $3.99 — a small price to pay for a lifetime of satisfaction.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Monday at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo.

Dune – December 18th, 2020 (Post-Production)

Dune, Frank Herbert’s massive tome of a novel, hasn’t found the easiest filmmaking processes. There’s even a whole documentary about one famous filmmaker’s failed attempt to bring it to the silver screen. David Lynch succeeded — if to mixed results — with his 1984 film, but now Denis Villeneuve will make an admirable attempt to bring Herbert’s words to the screen.

With an all-star cast that includes Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgard, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, and Charlotte Rampling in addition to Zendaya, Dune is set to be another enormous blockbuster from the revered director, though it’s hard to know if we’ll actually get a chance to see it this year. While we got our first glimpse at footage courtesy of an intriguing new trailer, the movie’s release date, December 18th, is tentative in a fluid release calendar.
